When you reach the rank of Colonel, you will be promoted to General and will oversee all of the military and the entire staff. At this level you’ll also be able to receive the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, are entitled to a number of days of paid holidays per year.
Pay increase at this level are dependent on the cost of employment. This is a method to keep track of the rate of inflation of costs of living. In areas with one with a high cost index, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the of living index is very low. This causes an increase in the salaries of military personnel who are highly educated . They have enjoyed similar promotions as well as pay increases similar to those at lower pay grades. Officers who have both engaged and commissioned receive an upgrade to Warrant Officer. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers commissioned are eligible for general promotion. The pay increases for Specialties go up every two years. You must be among the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to the Specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. The people who have any of these pay grade specializations can apply to become a surgical technician, or Medical Assistant after they’ve reached the required number in years served and have achieved the level of promotion required.
