An index of the cost of employment determines an U.S. military pay scale called the Allowable Rate. The index is determined by looking at the demands for enlisted personnel permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty military personnel. When considering these aspects then the rate is adjusted to provide a rate that assumes the strength requirements of each of these groups in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This method is employed to fix a basic rate of military pay that is used by every branch.

It is the U.S army has a ranking structure in place. Its ranks are established through the first lieutenant and higher and include officers like Lieutenants, Colonels, sergeants, and majors. Within the army, there are three levels ranked from highest to lowest to the top of the line of command. They are known as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale employed by the army is First Major First Lieutenant, First Lieutenant and others. This is a way of grading people across various specialties within the various wings of the army. For instance, those with lower ranks within that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers in Reserve or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they will be classified as Specialists or Officers Special. Additionally, those who are in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits. Likewise, those in the Navy will be regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the military pay scale is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost ladder is“Colonel” ” Colonel”. In the Colonel rank, you will rank as a General and have the responsibility for all of the military and the entire staff. At this rank you also get the most amounts of money per day. At higher levels, you are entitled to the most number of paid days of holidays per year.

Pay increases at this rate are dependent on the military’s cost of living index. This is a method to accommodate for the increase of living expenses. In areas with an index that is high, the cost of living will be expected to be much higher than when the of living index is very low. This causes an increase in the salaries of military personnel who are educated and have received similar promotions and raises like those in lower pay grades. Those who are promoted in jobs that are not in their pay grade have no pay increase.

Officers with engaged and commissioned receive promotions to Warrant Officer. The salary they earn as a Warrant Officer is based on their commission rating that is typically higher than the actual star. Higher ranks of command like Colonel both enlisted and commissioned officers can receive advancement to the rank of Colonel. When they are upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers can be promoted to general. Thus, those who have before been promoted as a General are qualified for promotion to Vice Captain or Major.

Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties increases every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to be promoted to the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialty pay grades may apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve completed the necessary number in years served and completed the required level of promotion.
