The next stage in the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. As a Colonel, will be promoted to General and be responsible for the entire military and entire staff. In this position it is also possible to earn the most pay per day. In higher ranks, you will also receive an increased number of days of paid leave per month.
Pay increments at this level are based on the military employment cost index. This is an attempt to adjust for the inflation of living costs. Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties will increase in every couple of years. You have to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to an specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, and Information Technology Specialist. Those with any of these pay grade specializations may apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant once they’ve had the number in years served and achieved the level of promotion required.
