Army, Navy, Air Force as well as Marine Corps are the branches using the pay scales used by the military. A cost of employment index is this U.S. military pay scale known as“allowable” Rate. The index is calculated by analyzing the need for enlisted personnel in permanent and permanent personnel as well as temporary military retirees per 100 active duty personnel. After considering these parameters then the rate is adjusted to provide a rate that will be based on the needs for each group for a stable workforce. The next rung on the military pay scale is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will be considered a General and have the responsibility for all military personnel and the entire staff. At this level you’ll also receive the most salary per day. In higher ranks, you will be able to enjoy a number of days of paid holidays per year.

Pay increments at this level are dependent on the cost of living index. This allows you to reflect the increasing of the cost of living. In areas with an index that is high, then the cost of living is likely to be greater than when the cost Index is not high. This can result in an increase in the amount of pay paid to military personnel who are educated and have experienced similar promotions and pay increases similar to those at lower paygrades. Those who are promoted in lower pay grades receive no increase.

Officers who are both engaged and commissioned receive an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid as a Warrant Officer is determined by the actual rating of their commission which is usually greater than the rank of their actual star. When they reach higher levels of the command like Colonel, both commissioned and enlisted officers will be entitled to an upgrade to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned are eligible for general promotion. For example, those who’ve had a previous promotion to General are eligible for promotions to a Vice Captain or Major.

Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties will increase  every two years. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to get promoted to the pay grade of Specialized. These pay grades include Technician, Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist, as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these pay grades may apply to become a surgical technician, or Medical Assistant, after they have reached the required number in years served and have reached the required promotion level.
