The index for employment costs establishes how much the U.S. military pay scale called The Allowable Rate. The index is determined by studying the demands for enlisted personnel as well as permanent and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty personnel. After considering these factors then the rate is adjusted to give a percentage that assumes the strength requirements of each group to guarantee an adequate workforce. This process is used to create a basic military wage that is later applied in every branch.

The U.S army has a ranking system in place. Its ranks are established from the rank of First Lieutenant or above and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants or Colonels, and majors. Within the army, three levels are listed from the top to the lowest in the chain of command. They are referred to as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The pay scale that is used by the army is the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and the list goes on. These pay scales rank people in various areas of work in the various wings that comprise the Army. For example, those who are lower-ranked in that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Reserved or Officers Regular. The higher-ranked ones are classified as Specialists or Officers Special. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those who are in the Navy are regarded as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as“Colonel” ” Colonel”. When you attain the rank of Colonel, it means that you are a general and will have responsibility for the entire military as well as the entire staff. At this rank you’ll also earn the most salary per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will be able to enjoy an increased number of of paid holidays per year.

Pay increases at this rate are calculated based on the army cost of labor index. This allows you to reflect the increasing of living expenses. If an area has an index of high value, the costs of living are expected to be significantly higher than when the cost index falls. This results in an increase in the compensation of military members who are highly educated . They have received similar promotions and rises as those who are in lower pay grades. The ones who are promoted in jobs that are not in their pay grade have no pay increase.

Officers with employed and enlisted are given promotions to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid with this title is determined by their actual commission score, which is usually above the level of their actual star. Higher levels of command that include Colonels, both commissioned, and enlisted officers can receive promotions to Colonel. After an upgrade to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. That means, those who’ve previously been promoted to General are qualified to be promoted to Vice Captain or Major.

Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties increases  every two years. You need to be among the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to qualify for the pay grade of Specialized. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. If you have one of these specialties pay grades can apply to become surgeon technician or Medical Assistant after they’ve reached the minimum number of years of service and reached the required promotion level.
