An index of the cost of employment determines an U.S. military pay scale called The Allowable Rate. The index is found by analyzing the demands for enlisted personnel or permanent employees, as well as temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty personnel. When considering these aspects then the rate is adjusted to create a figure that will be based on the needs of each of these groups to ensure a sufficient workforce. This method is employed to create a basic military wage that is later applied in every branch.

It is the U.S army has its own ranking procedure in force. Its ranks are set through the first lieutenant and up and include officers like Sergeants, lieutenants, Colonels, and majors. In the army, there are three levels in order from highest to lowest through the order of the commander. They are known as “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The pay scale that is used in the army is called the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant and then on. It ranks individuals in various areas of service within the different wings of the army. For instance, people with lower ranks within that section of the Marine Corps will be considered Officers Placed In Reserve, or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. Additionally, those who are in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy are classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next rung on the pay scale of the military is the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as the ” Colonel”. If you are a Colonel, you will be promoted to General and will have responsibility for the entire military as well as the entire staff. As a Colonel it is also possible to earn the highest amount of pay per day. Higher levels will receive a number of of paid time off per calendar month.

Pay increments at this level are dependent on the cost of labor index. This is an attempt to keep track of the rate of inflation of the cost of living. In areas with an index that is high, the cost of living is anticipated to be higher than when the index is lower. This can result in an increase in the wages of military personnel who have high educational qualifications and who have experienced similar promotions and increases that are comparable to those in lower pay grades. Personnel who are promoted to jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no increment.

Officers who are both commissioning and enlisted receive an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. The pay they receive with this title is determined by their actual commission score which is usually greater than the grade of their real star. At higher levels of leadership such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers are eligible for promotions to Colonel. Once they have been upgraded to Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will be eligible for general promotion. So, officers who have previously been promoted to a General will be eligible for promotions to Vice Captain or a Major.

The pay increases for Specialties are increased at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top twenty percent of your class in order to earn an specialized pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these pay grade specializations may apply to become a surgeon technician or Medical Assistant once they have reached the required number that have served in the past and have reached the appropriate promotion level.
