Promotions in jobs that are not in their pay grade have no pay increase.
Officers who are employed and enlisted are given an increase to the rank of Warrant Officer. Higher ranks of command such as Colonel both enlisted and commissioned officers are eligible for the rank of Colonel. Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties increases at least every 2 years. It is necessary to be in the top twenty percent of your class to qualify for the Specialized pay grade.
