Pay Level Chart Army – The U.S. Military PayScale is the basic salary scale used by every member of the armed forces. U.S. military pay scales are used as a major assessment tool to calculate personnel pay. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps are the branches that utilize the military pay scale. Each of these branches have specific regulations that determine its pay grade. This includes bonuses and special pay considerations for seniority.
An index of the cost of employment determines what is known as the U.S. military pay scale known as The Allowable Rate. The index is calculated by looking at the requirements for enlisted employees permanently, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty soldiers. After taking into account these factors then the rate is adjusted so that it relies on the strength requirements for each group to ensure a sufficient workforce. This method is employed to determine a basic military salary that is then used in each branch.

The ranks are established at the level of the First Lieutenant or above and comprise officers such as sergeants, lieutenants or Colonels, and majors. In the army, there are three levels in order from highest to lowest in the chain of command. They are called the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

It ranks individuals in various areas of service within the various branches in the military. For example, the lower-ranking individual’s within The Marine Corps will be considered Officers Reserved or Officers Regular. On the other hand, those with higher ranks are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits and those who are in the Navy will be designated as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.
The next rung on the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this rank is the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you become a General and be responsible for all of the military and the whole staff. In this position you’ll also be able to receive the most money per day. If you are promoted to higher levels, you will also receive the most number of paid days of holidays per year.
Pay increases at this rate are in accordance with the military’s cost index for employment. This is a method to keep track of the rate of inflation of costs of living. If an area has high cost index, the cost of living is predicted to be much higher than when the cost Index is not high. This is a reason for an increase the pay for military members who have high educational qualifications and were promoted and received pay increases similar to those at lower pay levels. Promotions in jobs that are not in their pay grade receive no increase.
Officers who are in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid as a Warrant Officer is based on the commission they receive which is usually higher than the actual star. Higher ranks of command such as Colonel both commissioned and enlisted officers can receive an upgrade to Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all commissioned officers are eligible for general promotions. This means that those who’ve before been promoted as General are eligible to receive a promotion to Vice Captain or a Major.
Finally, the increases in pay for Specialties rise at least every 2 years. You must be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class in order to earn an specialized pay grade. The pay grades are Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist.
