A cost of employment index is this U.S. military pay scale called the Allowable Rate. The index is found through the analysis of the demand for enlisted troops, permanent personnel, and temporary military retirees per 100 active-duty personnel. When considering these aspects to determine the appropriate rate, it is adjusted to create a figure that assumes the strength requirements of each of these groups in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This method is used to create a basic military wage which is then utilized in every branch.

The U.S army has its own ranking process in place. Its ranks are set at the level of the First Lieutenant and higher and comprise officers such as Colonels, lieutenants, sergeants and majors. In the army, there are three levels placed from top to bottom on the hierarchy of commands. They are known as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale that is utilized within the army is the First Major First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and further on. This ranks the people working in different fields of service in the different wings that comprise the Army. For example, individuals with lower rank in The Marine Corps will be considered Officers Reserved or Officers Regular. For those who are higher-ranked, they will be classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, those employed in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruiters and those in the Navy will be designated as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step up the military pay scale is the ” Sergeant Major”. At the top of this step is known as the ” Colonel”. At Colonel rank, you will be promoted to General and will be in charge of your entire army and entire staff. At this level you’ll also receive the highest amount of pay per day. At higher levels, can expect to receive a number of of paid annual vacation.

This leads to an increase in the pay for military members who have a high education and who have experienced similar promotions and raises similar to those of lower paygrades. People who are promoted to the lower ranks of their pay receive no increment.

Officers who are in the enlisted and commissioned ranks receive a promotion to a Warrant Officer. The salary they earn at this rank is determined by their commission rating which is usually higher than the rank of their actual star. Higher ranks of command, such as Colonel, both commissioned, and enlisted officers will be eligible for the rank of Colonel. After an upgrade to a Colonel, all officers who are commissioned will qualify for general promotion. So, officers who have previously been promoted to a General will be eligible for a promotion to a Vice Captain or a Major.

Additionally, the salary increases for Specialties are increased twice a year. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your class to be promoted to an Advanced pay grade. The pay grades are Technician, Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist as well as Information Technology Specialist. Anyone with one of these specialties pay grades can apply to become surgical technician, or Medical Assistant once they’ve reached the minimum number in years served and have reached the minimum level for promotion.
