An index of cost of employment establishes that U.S. military pay scale called“allowable” Rate. The index is found through the analysis of the need for enlisted personnel as well as permanent and temporary military retirees for 100 active-duty personnel. After considering these factors The rate is then adjusted to create a figure that considers the strength requirements for each group in order to guarantee a sufficient workforce. This method is used in order to set a basic military pay that is later applied in each branch.

The U.S army has its ranking established system. The ranks are established from the rank of First Lieutenant or above and include officers like sergeants, lieutenants and Colonels and majors. Within the army, three levels are placed from top to bottom to the top of the line of command. They are referred to as the “major”, “first lieutenant,” and “second lieutenant”.

The other pay scale that is utilized in the army is called the First Major, First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, and others. The pay scale ranks individuals across different areas of work in the various branches in the military. For instance, those with lower ranks in military units like the Marine Corps will be considered officers placed in reserve or Officers Regular. While those with higher rank are classified as Officers Special or Specialists. In addition, individuals in the Air Force will be considered Officers Air Recruits, while those who are in the Navy will be classified as Officers Navy or Officers Waterman.

The next step in the pay scale for military personnel is called the ” Sergeant Major”. The topmost rung is known as the ” Colonel”. When you reach the rank of Colonel, you become a General and will be accountable for all military personnel and the entire staff. At this rank, you will also receive the highest pay per day. In higher ranks, you will receive a number of days of paid annual vacation.

This can result in an increase in the salary of military personnel with a higher education level and had similar promotions and increments that are similar to those in lower pay levels. Those who are promoted in positions below their pay grade get no raise.

Officers who are both commissioned and enlisted rank receive an upgrade to Warrant Officer. The amount they are paid for this position is based on the actual rating of their commission which is usually greater than the grade of their real star. At higher levels of leadership that include Colonels, both commissioned, and enlisted officers can be eligible for advancement to the rank of Colonel. When they are upgraded to Colonel, all commissioned officers will be eligible for general promotion. That means, those who’ve previously been promoted to a General will be eligible to receive a promotion to a Vice Captain or Major.

Lastly, the pay increases for Specialties increase at least every 2 years. You have to be in the top 20 percent of your enlistment class to qualify for an advanced pay grade. These pay grades include Technician Radio Technician, Computer Networking Specialist and Information Technology Specialist. People who have any of these specialty paygrades can apply to become surgeon technician or Medical Assistant when they’ve completed the required number of years of service and completed the required level of promotion.
